Walkable neighbourhood
Urban Design Guidelines for Victoria, published by The State of Victoria Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning in 2017, defines a walkable neighbourhood as: ‘A neighbourhood where travel on foot, and also by bicycle, is made easy, direct and safe as possible for all members of the community including children, people with prams or shopping carts and those using mobility aids.’
